Afterwards we cruise to Oludeniz (The Blue Lagoon) again sea conditions permitting. Option for paragliding available.Last stop of the day is St-Nicholas Island. Byzantine ruins, swim, dinner & 1st night. Day 2 : Kas - Kekova Around sunrise departure to Aquarium or Firnaz Bay near Kalkan for breakfast & swimming. Cruising to Kas where we stop in the harbour for lunch & visit of this charming fishing village. Of ancient Antiphellos, as Kas was once known, only Lycian rock tombs & sarcophagi & the Roman theatre are left. But the charm of the town remains! In a bay near Kekova we stop for swimming, dinner & overnight. Day 3 : Kekova - Gokkaya Breakfast. Departure to Sunken City of Kekova (this Lycian-Roman archaeological site is protected, so only looking!). Lunch. Simena, a traditional Turkish fishing village with no car access & Byzantine/Ottoman castle. In Gokkaya Bay optional water sports are available. Dinner, relax in this pirates haven or party the night away at the Smugglers Inn. Day 4 : Finike Finike This town is in the heart of a market gerdening area & is surrounded by citrus groves. It has a harbour & marina & is a good base from which to visit the sites at Demre & Myra, where many splendidly carved rock tombs overlook the magnificent Roman theatre. Day 5 : Cavus This large bay surrounded by sandy beaches is a great spot for watersports & one can also explore the incredible sea caves on the northern shore. It is a short distance from the ancient city of Olympus & there are several good restaurants ashore Day 6 : Kemer En route to Kemer we stop for lunch at Tekirova, where we anchor in what used to be one of the harbours of ancient Phaselis. Here, a few metres from the Gulet, are the well preserved ruins of aqueducts, agoras, baths, a theatre, Hadrian's Gate & an acropolis. The sheltered bay surrounded by sandy beaches, pine forests & shaded ruins makes this an unforgettable stopover. At Kemer we moor in the well equipped marina, which is centrally placed to all the shops & restaurants. Day 7 : Antalya Antalya is a large attractive city with shady, palm-lined boulevards & a modern marina. The old part of the city surrounds the old harbour & has narrow, winding streets & old wooden houses about the ancient city walls. The harbour is surrounded by friendly cafes & restaurants & the many shops in the area sell everything from antique silverware to carpets. Day 8 : Antalya Disembarking in Antalya Marina. * The captain reserves the right to change the route plan due to weather, navigational conditions & safety without prior notice. * First day embarkation time 16:00, last day disembarkation at 10:00 |
