|
Day 1 : Bodrum Boarding the yacht in Bodrum, welcoming & information about the yacht & the tour program, cruise starts right after harbour formalities are done (or overnight stay in Harbour of Bodrum is possible according to your arrival time). Cruising about 1 hour, stop by Kara Island, the little island in front of Bodrum for afternoon swim, dinner & overnight. Island is famous with its sulphur mud & cave. Day 2 : Bodrum - Gokova Departure after breakfast & harbour formalities. We will cruise about 3 hours to cross the coast of Gokova Gulf to reach Knidos which was one of six cities forming a league called the Dorian Hexapolis. Knidos can be considered as the point which separates the Aegean from the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It has two ancient harbours & we will drop anchor in the bigger eastern harbour from where we can see the ruins. The harbour is unfortunately relatively unprotected from the wind so that captains often decide to overnight in nearby Palamutbuku bay. Day 3 : Knidos - Datca Leaving Knidos we will have stops for swimming & lunch in Kargi or Inceburun & reach the harbour of Datca towards evening. Dinner & overnight here or in nearby bays if guests on board prefer to have more peaceful night. Day 4 : Datca We leave Datca in the morning & give the first stop to swim by Aktur, then lunch by Dislice Ada. Late in the afternoon, we arrive at Bencik, the bay which meanders into the land at the narrowest point of the peninsula. Dinner & overnight. Day 5 : Bencik Leaving Bencik, we arrive with a short cruise to the region of Orhaniye or Selimiye villages. Here, there are a lot of lovely bays we can choose for overnight. Day 6 : Bozukkale - Serce Limani Passing around Karaburun, we arrive first in Bozukkale (Loryma) seaside village. Although the Turkish name means "ruined castle", the castle on a hill at the entrance to the port is in relatively good condition. After lunch we cruise further to Serce Limani or dinner & overnight. A Byzantine wreck from the 11th. century, carrying merchandise to the eastern Mediterranean was founded here. The artefacts taken from the wreck can be seen in the Bodrum Museum. Day 7 : Kadirga - Marmaris Leaving Serce Limani we will have stops by Gerbekse & / or Ciftlik, Kadirga & Turunc before arriving Marmaris. Overnight either in Marmaris or nearby bays or islands. (Ciftlik or Paradise Island). Day 8 : Marmaris Disembark in Marmaris after breakfast. On this route visits to Cos & Rhodes islands are also available at the extra cost of Greek Harbour dues & taxes. * The captain reserves the right to change the route plan due to weather, navigational conditions & safety without prior notice. * First day embarkation time 16:00, last day disembarkation at 10:00 |
