Day 01 : Istanbul Arrival Upon arrival to Istanbul Ataturk Airport & clearing customs, you will be met by one of our staff at the exit gate of arrivals hall & accompanied during your transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul. Day 02 : Istanbul Sightseeing Breakfast at hotel, then meeting your guide at hotel lobby for a short drive to Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar) heaped with various sweets & spices is one of the world’s largest spice bazaars since 1665. Soon after, we embark on a public ferry for an unforgettable cruise along the Bosphorus, the beautiful strait that divides Europe from Asia. Enjoy lunch in the Topkapi Palace, the residence of Ottoman Sultans for nearly 4 centuries. Topkapi Palace is the largest & oldest palace in the world to survive to our day, now serving as a museum exhibiting remnants of religious & political importance from centuries ago. Free time at the Grand Bazaar (Kapalicarsi) for shopping before returning to the hotel. Day 03 : Istanbul Sightseeing After breakfast meeting your tour guide at hotel lobby to begin the day with a stroll to the Hippodrome, the former heart of Constantinople's political & sporting life. Next visit the Blue Mosque with its six minarets & a great cascade of domes, the pride & joy of Ottoman architecture. Continue with the Hagia Sophia which is considered the Jewel of Byzantine architecture. After lunch break, we drive across the first Bosphorus Bridge & head for the summit of Camlica Hill, which offers 360° panoramic views of Istanbul overlooking the Sea of Marmara. Driving back to Europe over the Bosphorus Bridge, we visit Dolmabahce Palace, with more than 340 rooms & eight Turkish Baths the Imperial Residence of the last six Sultans. End of the tour you will be transferred back to your hotel with evening at leisure. Day 04 : Istanbul / Cappadocia After breakfast early check out & transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for Cappadocia flight (1.2hr). We start our day with a gentle hike through orchards, unusual volcanic rock formations, rock-cut houses at Red Valley & Pasabagi where you will find the world known fairy chimneys. Visit the old Village of Cavusin, followed by lunch break & then an excursion to Pigeon Valley. Then continue on to Goreme Open-Air Museum where you will visit the numerous rock carved churches, monasteries decorated with striking frescoes from early Christianity. Our last stop for today will be the panoramic view point offering spectacular views of the landscape from the natural rock castle at Uchisar. Day 05 : Cappadocia Early pick up from hotels & departure from Cappadocia to the Zamanti River. Enroute a short break for refreshment & changing clothes in Yahyali. Later on kit up with safety gear & warm up on a grade 1-2 water section. Afterwards rafting through the blue canyon on grade 3-4 river with breaks for body rafting, site tours, games. Afternoon a short transfer to Guney Selale for an open buffet lunch on the river bank. After lunch we visit the world famous "Kapuzba waterfalls". Than we settle in our riverside camp, take it easy for the afternoon & explore the area & enjoy a delicious dinner from the Adana cuisine followed by a night around the fire & camping accommodation. Day 06 : Cappadocia After breakfast in camp & packing up we are back in the river for our daily adrenalin shot. Negotiating some 20 km of grade 4 rapids, we will spend our day on the river rafting between old chrome mines, exploring deserted caves & visiting pastoral villages. After lunch on the river bank we will approach one of the most amazing sights of all rivers - Alice in wonderland. Later on we arrive at our Kup koy camp, make our last arrangements before nightfall, have a camping quality cooked dinner & spend the night here. Day 07 : Cappadocia After breakfast on the river bank & packing up we will start with abseiling the boats & ourselves down to the river. Right after that we are down to a once in a lifetime experience: rafting through an 82 meters natural cave tunnel. Running along the river we will negotiate some of the Zamanti's best white-water. Lunch near the Seyhan river. The waters that are added create a "big volume" type rafting that will carry us all the way to the end of the day. In the afternoon we arrive at our riverside camp, explore the ancient hydromechanics mill where nearby we will spend the night then enjoy a delicious village style dinner & spend the night in a million stars hotel. Day 08 : Cappadocia After breakfast on the river bank & packing up we will start our last rafting day on the river. Soon after going down to the river we will enter "the wishing well gorge" in which we will make all of our wishes to come through some grade 4-5 rapids. After a couple of hours of white fun the river will start evening out & soon after we will come out of the gorge for a lazy cruise down the Egener stretch. After the arrival at the village of Egener we will change clothes & have a delicious lunch at a local fish restaurant. After lunch we depart for Goreme on a 4 hours drive through the Kilikian passages with breathtaking views. We arrive at Goreme late afternoon & transfer to hotels. Day 09 : Cappadocia / Istanbul Transfer to Kayseri Airport for Istanbul flight. Transfer & check in to hotel upon arrival. Free day at leisure. Overnight Istanbul. Day 10 : Istanbul Depending on your flight time, check-out (12:00) from hotel & remainder of day will be at leisure till your transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for your homebound flight. |
